Terms of Service
Last updated: February 14, 2026
Hey — these are the terms for using PeekDB. We tried to keep them readable.
What PeekDB is: A web-based admin panel that connects to your PostgreSQL databases. You can browse tables, search records, and edit data.
Who we are: PeekDB is operated by an individual based in Lithuania. You can reach us at info@peekdb.com.
The short version: Use PeekDB for legitimate purposes, only connect to databases you're authorized to access, and understand that you're responsible for what happens in your own databases. We provide the tool; you're in control.
By using PeekDB, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
Your Data & Security
We don't store your database contents. PeekDB queries your database in real-time and displays the results. We cache schema information (table names, columns) to make the UI faster, but we don't copy or store your actual data.
Two ways to connect
Direct connection: You provide database credentials, and PeekDB connects directly. Your credentials are stored encrypted on our servers. This works best for cloud databases with public endpoints.
Via Agent (recommended): You run a small agent in your network. The agent connects outbound to PeekDB — your database credentials never leave your infrastructure. We never see your password.
What we do store
- Your account info (email, auth tokens)
- Connection metadata (names, hosts — not passwords for agent connections)
- Schema cache (table/column names for faster loading)
What we don't do
- Sell or share your data
- Access your databases except to provide the service
- Keep backups of your database contents
Payments
Free tier: One database connection, free forever. No credit card required.
Pro plan: Unlimited connections, billed monthly. Prices are listed on our website and may change with notice.
Billing: We use Stripe to process payments. We don't store your card details directly.
Cancellation: Cancel anytime from your account settings. You'll keep Pro access until the end of your billing period, then drop to Free.
Refunds: Subscriptions are non-refundable. If you cancel mid-month, you won't be charged again, but we don't prorate or refund the current period.
Failed payments: If a payment fails, we'll retry a few times and notify you. If it keeps failing, your account reverts to Free.
Rules of the Road
Do
- Use PeekDB for databases you own or have permission to access
- Keep your account credentials secure
- Let us know if you find security issues (we appreciate it)
Don't
- Access databases without authorization — PeekDB is a tool, not a license to snoop
- Use the service for anything illegal
- Try to reverse engineer, scrape, or clone PeekDB
- Abuse the service (excessive requests, automated scraping, etc.)
- Share your account with others (get them their own free account)
If you break these rules: We may suspend or terminate your account without refund. If you're doing something illegal, we may report it to authorities.
The Legal Stuff
The service is "as-is." We do our best to keep PeekDB running and bug-free, but we can't guarantee it'll be perfect or always available. We don't make warranties about uptime, accuracy, or fitness for any particular purpose.
Your database, your responsibility. PeekDB lets you view and edit data in your databases. If you delete something you shouldn't have, modify production data by accident, or cause any other damage — that's on you, not us. We provide the tool; you control what you do with it.
We strongly recommend
- Testing on staging/development databases first
- Having backups before making edits
- Limiting database user permissions when possible
Liability cap: If something does go wrong and it's our fault, our total liability is limited to the amount you've paid us in the past 12 months. We're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (lost profits, data loss, etc.).
You indemnify us: If you get us into legal trouble by misusing the service (e.g., accessing databases you shouldn't), you agree to cover our costs.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms occasionally. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you by email or show a notice in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
Termination
You can leave anytime: Delete your account or just stop using the service.
We can terminate: If you violate these terms, we may suspend or delete your account. We'll try to warn you first for minor issues, but serious violations (illegal activity, unauthorized access) may result in immediate termination.
What happens after: Your connection data is deleted. Any data in your own databases is unaffected — we never stored it anyway.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Lithuania. Any disputes will be resolved in Lithuanian courts. If you're in the EU, this doesn't affect your statutory consumer rights.
